A luxurious and extremely versatile vintage mink cape that is perfect for weddings or everyday winter wear. This exquisite 'Desert Gold' cape features a 9cm fur-backed scoop collar and lapel that can be worn down or standing, and two satin-lined concealed front pockets. Its oversized rear sweep and side arm slits make the cape sit like a jacket when worn.
Styled and made in the late 1960s by Furghett's Furriers, the cape is crafted of wide, superbly plush and thick 'Desert Gold' minkpelts that are artfully sewn so that the pelts lines are invisible. The fur's colour is best described as a deep champagne or honey hue.
The cape is lined in a golden satin and can be worn open or closed with a brooch or fur pin. Like all fine furs of the era it has a monogram in lining. The darling name 'Glenna Berry' is embroidered on the lining in a matching golden threa.
The elegant simplicity of this cape and stunning but neutral colour of the fur make it an extremely versatile addition to any wardrobe. Wear it as an everyday piece over jumpers, to a holiday party over a cocktail dress, or to an autumn wedding.
