Vintage 1960s Black Mink Bow Front Wrap

Out of Stock

Product Description

This stunning black ranch mnik cape was crafted one of New York City's finest furriers, Jacques Monetremier NYC furrier in the late-1960s and features a love design with bow front closure. The wrap is styled with horizontally orientated pelts that create a tiering effect, and uppermost pelt doubles a collar that can be worn flat or standing. The front bow detail is created by one piece of mink passing through a slit in another to create an 'X' shape or flattened bow. An absolutely lovely design that makes its a one-of-a-kind piece!

The cape is beautifully crafted of supple and thick, fully stranded black ranch mink pelts that have a wonderful sheen. The fur's colour is outstanding: best described as a jet black with expresso brown undertones.

It is lined in a bacl silk satin and closes with two concealed furrier hooks: one at the neckline and one near the hemline. The bow closure then closes over the upper furrier hook.

This cape is a definite show-stopper. The deep and rick colour of the mink combined with the delicate and rare styling make it a magnificent piece.
