This 1950s platinum silver fox fur coat is the epitome of vintage glamrous. It features a swing cut bodice and full length swing cut sleeves with structured shoulders. The underside of the sleeves and sides of the bodice have a black silk panel to prevent wear to the edges of the fur where they would be most vulnerable. When worn, these panels are not visible; however, we have hung the coat on the model in one of the photos in a way that allows you to see the panels.
Crafted by Washington furrier in the mid-1950s, the coat is made of gorgeous platinum silver fox fur pelts. The fur is is incredibly voluminous and the pelts super supple. The dimension of the fur's colour is breathtaking--being a mixture of black, brown, silver and grey highlights, and one of the characteristics of silver fox fur that make it so sought after. The beauty of this coat is that although the fox fur is incredibly lightweight, it provides great warmth!
It is lined in black matte satin and has a concealed furrier hook at the centre to close the coat.
This coat is extremely versatile, both in style and colour and can easily go from day to night and a must-have addition to any wardrobe.
